Chrome 142 versions and higher may prompt you to allow access to your local network if you are visiting the legacy download site (https://members.iracing.com/download/member/home.jsp).

This is because the site relied on calls made to the iRacing.com Helper Service, which runs locally on your machine, in order to launch the downloader. Clicking Allow will add an allowance only for members.iracing.com to access your local network. This is how things have always worked on this site, except no prompt was presented to users.

If you choose to Block this permission, you will only be able to update via the iRacing Launcher and not via the legacy site.

If you chose to Block this permission in the past, but now want to Allow it, you can click on the icon to the left of the address in the address bar. Then make sure the toggle for Local network access is enabled.
